Akufo-Addo betrays Bawumia and NPP – Musah Superior alleged

Iddrisu Musah Superior, the former Mayor of Tamale and the outgoing Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission, has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he describes as poor leadership and a lack of support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, the president should have stepped down a year before the election, citing health reasons, to allow Dr. Bawumia to assume office and implement fresh ideas that could have changed the political narrative and prevented what he termed an “embarrassing defeat” for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Musah Superior expressed these views during a live interview on Tolon Radio’s socio-political program, Yeltoga Kpanjogu, hosted by Abdul Shakur Omae.

He attributed the NPP’s defeat in the recently concluded general election to poor economic performance, a lack of job creation, and unpopular tariff adjustments under the Akufo-Addo government. He further criticized the party’s national executives, labeling them as the worst in the history of the NPP’s leadership.

Calling for significant reforms, Musah Superior urged party supporters to voice their frustrations to the leadership as a means of regrouping and strategizing for future elections. “Only by confronting the leadership with their failures can the party heal and prepare for victory in subsequent elections,” he stated
