Israel’s cabinet has approved the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage release deal, according to the prime minister’s office, following hours of deliberation.  The CNN reported that, the smaller security cabinet approved the deal earlier on Friday.

The deal, which will take effect Sunday, would see a pause in fighting in Gaza and lead to the phased release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
