The vetting process for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions in the Northern Region is set to begin on Saturday, January 18, 2025. This significant event will take place at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, where all applicants will undergo a rigorous vetting process.

A total nunber of 206 applicants vying to be the MMDCES for the various districts are expected to be vetted by the vetting committee of the NDC.

Notably, the Sagnarigu Municipality has the highest number of applicants, totalling 23, while Saboba has the least, with 8 candidates.

The vetting committee, composed of NDC Regional and constituency Executives alongside leadership from the National Headquarters, is poised to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation of candidates.

To streamline the process, applicants have been divided into groups, with each group assigned a specific date for their vetting. This approach aims to ensure an orderly and efficient evaluation.
